Granting of the exequatur to Martin A. Schoiswohl
As Honorary Consul for the Republic of Latvia in Upper Austria Dr. Martin A. Schoiswohl is authorized to exercise the consular functions within his consular district. On 10 March 2008 the Austrian Federal President granted the exequatur to Mr. Schoiswohl. The exequatur is granted to the heads of independent consular representations upon presentation of the consular patent issued by the sending state or another notification regarding their appointment as consul.
Why being Honorary Consul of Latvia?
When Martin A. Schoiswohl was invited to establish the Consulate of Latvia in Upper Austria, he was enthusiastic from the very beginning. Born in 1961, the "Iron Curtain" was a fixed aspect of his youth. The world ended, as it were, 30 km north of his hometown Linz/Leonding. When he decided to become self-employed, Mr. Schoiswohl felt obliged to contribute his share to spreading knowledge about the northern countries. Travelling to Georgia, Siberia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia, he lectured, on behalf of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, about identity, marketing and communication. In the course of this activity he got to know and appreciate the cross-cultural and scientific exchange of knowledge. Since 1992 Mr. Schoiswohl has been running the Kommhaus Identiting Institute, one of the leading consulting firms for corporate and brand identiting having its own agency for Integrated Communication in Austria.
Kommhaus Identiting Institute
The Kommhaus Identiting Institute unites four disciplines under one roof: Personal Identity, Corporate Identity, Brand Identity and Marketing. Though the marketing centre is in the German-speaking world, the company is active throughout Europe. Founded in 1992, our location (headquarter) in Bad Aussee today has a staff of (approx.) 22.
